A social, community-based art Series Collection born out of a need to unite as a community of women photographers and tell the story of the photographer.

The women photographed in this series are the photographers themselves, whose profession is to photograph weddings and events. Through photographing the photographers themselves, the project tells the story of the woman behind the camera, who is usually the one seeing and documenting others.

The photographer takes on the role of “the one who sees and remains unseen,” seeing everything, all the time, and documenting everything that happens through her. From this perspective, the viewer is invited, for a moment, to step out of the character and become a viewer themselves, to observe from the outside and gain perspective.

Like the divine gaze that watches over us, we too are invited to stop and look at ourselves, to understand our place within the picture, and in doing so, to bring joy (נחת רוח) to the Creator.
